Half Moon

On a wide swath of shoreline, backed by 400 lush landscaped acres of Montego Bay proper, this property ranks with Round Hill and the Ritz-Carlton as one of Montego Bay's premier resorts. This gracious colonial holiday resort centers on a residential-style mansion with sea-view villas and suites spreading out from both sides. Grandly spacious and airy, the chic columned lobby gleams with marble, and breezes sweep its sitting areas. Three main pools include an Olympic-sized lap pool surrounded by spouting springs and a swim-up bar, the Royal Suites have two more pools, and each Royal Villa boasts its own. The fitness center encompasses a sauna, a state-of-the-art gym hosting aerobics and yoga classes, and a spa with a host of health and beauty treatments.

Couples Swept Away

Ranked among Jamaica's more elegant all-inclusive adults-only properties, this place competes locally with its sibling Couples and Grand Lido, with a high-minded, low-calorie approach to resort living. Airport shuttles whisk guests down the winding road nearly an hour and a half from Montego Bay's airport. This resort embraces 20 hectares of heliconias and ferns, a lush beachfront fantasia, and 26 two-story buildings linked by snaking paved walks. The artistic contemporary lobby wears a becoming green patina, and the jingle of wind chimes fills the air, instead of the customary piped-in mood music. Beyond reception, the main common areas are grouped in a pylon-supported two-story beachfront unit where colorful seating areas and windswept surroundings encourage lingering...

Grand Lido Braco

As if by magic, a replica of an old-fashioned Jamaican village welcomes you, with gingerbread architecture, a town square, skilled craftsmen and coconut vendors of selling their treasures on the cobble-stoned streets. Needless to say, the old-world setting has been wedded to today’s luxury amenities to create the world’s first Super-Inclusive Jamaican Village. Here, anything's possible and everything's included. Luxurious accommodations, In-room Dining, Sumptuous cuisine, Premium brand bar drinks, Championship golf and tennis, Sailing, snorkeling & scuba, Scintillating nightlife, Perfumed gardens and Separate au naturel facilities; all to give you your ultimate lavish Super–Inclusive vacation!

The Caves

This 12-room resort challenges the notion of the package tour/cookie-cutter all-inclusive, not only because of its small size but also its abundance of character. Narrow stone paths shaded by grape and almond trees lead to pastel cottages with whimsical hand-carved furniture and eye-popping fabrics. A member of Island Records founder Chris Blackwell's hip hotel empire, the Caves occupies a spectacular setting on two cliffside acres (the closest beach is a 15-minute drive away). Stairs carved into the rock take you up to sunbathing platforms and down into two grottoes, one of which houses a rum and cigar bar. Service here is impeccable to the point of being invisible, and while there are no TVs in the rooms, there are CD players and access to a well-stocked music library, of course.
